I have a 2002 Chevy impala and when you use the keyless entry remote to lock the doors the horn does chirp but when you set the alarm off the horn works. Is the horn suppose to chirp on the factory installed keyless entry when you lock the the doors, if it does can someone help me try and figure out why it isnt. PS I Push the lock button 2times.

On most models of GM vehicles, no, the horn is NOT supposed to chirp with the factory remote. However, on some models, as with my 2003 Envoy, for example, there is a programmable on and off for the chirp. Check your owners manual, it is in there. If you do not have the manual, call or stop by your nearest dealer and inquire in the service dept. They will be more than glad to help you with the info. Questions are free of charge.

I had the same problem. Take the remote apart and clean the key pad. Mine was dirty and after cleaning worked fine
