I was just wondering. I noticed the late night talk show hosts discussing it and including a couple of regular libs laughing about it.

I have no jokes for anyone who is sick. It SHOULD transcend political parties.

Why would the same folks who make fun of Edward's cancer get mad if someone made fun of Bush' colonoscopy? Answer that and you've answered your question.

I doubt anyone would be making any jokes if Bush had actually been diagnosed with colon cancer. He wasn't, though, and since the doctors had to actually stick an instrument up his behind, that's all the more reason why he's the "butt" of jokes.

Edwards has a fatal and incurable cancer, and has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy. Bush had a test and polyp removal that are standard for people in his age group. He is not and was not sick, and the test is preventative.

Bush's test was fodder for comedians because of the region of the body that was examined, and because Cheney was temporarily in charge while Bush was under anesthetic. Mocking Edwards for having cancer throughout her body is simply in poor taste and is not funny.

I don't think you can really compare Bush getting a colonoscopy to Elizabeth Edwards' terminal cancer.

It really is a joke. I was ashamed by Coulter embarrassing normal conservatives and making fun of a woman with cancer because of her political party and the people who make fun of Bush are no better.

Are you sure it wasn't "Red Eye" on Fox News?

I've never made fun of a colonoscopy, I've had one before in fact. Pretty cool, I still have the photos they printed out from inside my colon. But I'll tell you what - the day before, having to fast, and drinking a gallon of laxative to clean out your digestive tract was no picnic.

Because no one is using the President's procedure for political gain, unlike John Edwards does with his wife's cancer. The nature of this procedure is probably titillating to those liberals you mentioned.

Why do the same people that never said anything about the people making fun of Mrs. Edwards, get mad at the people making fun of Bush?
