I don't believe aliens will visit, but I do believe something else on that year. I just wanna know who said that Aliens are coming that year? Plus, I saw the Discovery channel on 2012, The Mayan calender, the I Chi(Or something, I forgot) The book of Revelations, Merlin, ect. ect. And nothing points to Aliens.

The "2012 crowd" believes that the world will end on the Winter Solstice of that year - December 21st. They cite the Mayan calendar which is purported to end on that very day. I haven't heard anything about aliens, though.

2012 December 23 rd i believe is a time of great astronomical importance when planets and celestial bodies align to form what the Mayans believed to be a doorway and end of a time period. not the end of the world . although this may happen and ill explain it from the point of view of someone who believes in astrology. AN astrologist believes the planets moons and stars in the sky all have n effect on each other. so her on earth when were closer to mars or Jupiter we have a stronger connection to whatever that planet radiates and certain people react different ways . So during this time i believe astronomical forces will weigh heavy on us all and in our galactic surroundings as well so who knows what tensions may bring. I do know for a fact that the Mayans didn't believe in some catastrophic devastation . we love to twist logic to suit our paranoid delusions.

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe I remember hearing that it was a part of Nostradamus's predictions. Of course anything that he's written can be interpreted how you want, but I think therein lies the base of the 2012 "alien invasion".

It was stated, by the Mayans, that in 2012 "the world as we know it will end." This doesn't necessarily mean any one thing. Aliens could visit, the world could implode, there's no telling. "As we know it" could mean it [the world] is going to change to something that no one has seen before or that it could revert back to an earlier stage in it's development. No one can tell until it happens.

I would suspect it is a fanatical numerologist. They're always predicting that certain things will happen in certain years. They're almost always wrong, and when they're right, it's usually because the event is so common that they had a good chance of getting it right in any year.
For example, I could predict there will be a war in the year 2017, but there are so many wars around the globe that I'm almost guaranteed to be correct.
