The political parties are not at all worried as to what the people of the country will think when all the three forces namely INC, BJP and third front ,one after another , are vying with each other in the race of appeasement of a particular community bringing the election of Vice-President also to poor taste having already lowered the dignity of office of President as well before President's election. This is nothing but taking the intelligence of people of the country granted by the politicians.

I fully agree with you. Unfortunately in India all these politicians are interested in appeasement policy for either the minority religion people or the lower caste (S.C., S.T. B.C.) people. What ever they are doing is just bringing an inferiority complex in the Hindu majority in their own country, when any Hindu-Muslim communal issue arises the larger group of Muslim of this country who otherwise claim to be part of the country comes out with Pakistani national flag & start pro Pakistani slogan shouting, then these very politicians go pacifying these Muslim traitors & request the Hindu majority to keep claim, peace in the country & show love for these Muslims as they are our brothers..

Iam no fan or follower of BJP. But have you been waiting for their nominee to react this way. It is really silly , you will agree, there is a saying -- WHEN IN ROME DO AS ROMANS DO. The entire game of politics in our country is centred around the policy of minority appeasement . This has all been perfected by the congress party and being followed relegiously by the communists and regional parties.

The country is already divided once on communal grounds and it was designed and accepted by the congress party to capture power after independance. The same is being done now, in future if a demand arises for another partition,, I am sure they will find support from these self serving congresswallas and the communists will agree to it after initial resistance.

So there is no point in signalling out the BJP. They are true nationalists and are always blamed for majority appeasement.

After President of India election, the result of Vice-President election is well known.
For a loosing battle, [and also as per respectable Vajpaye's wordings ," in an exercise to show party's entity",] it is nothing wrong to nominate a Muslim ex-congress(till 2004) lady .
At least in next Parliament elections it will be useful to ask for Muslim votes on the same platform like all others.
