There are thousands of earthquakes and tremors every day. Most are weak and many are not noticed except for their detection on scientific instruments. This means that there is nowhere on earth that does not receive some form of tremor or earthquake every year. So every state will experience a number of quakes every year.

It depends on how you define an earthquakes. They occur all the time in some places, but in other places long, long periods of time pass between them. Also, earthquakes come in many sizes. Scientists can detects earthquakes, much much smaller than those that can be felt. Contrary to popular belief, Florida does have earthquakes, they are simply not large and not common. There have been 2 in the past couple of years. During the 20th century, 7 were reported that were large enough to cause very minor damage.

All states have some earthquakes of some magnitudes, some just have more than others. According to the USGS, Florida and North Dakota have the fewest earthquakes statistically. You can also highlight periods of time where there were no earthquakes in a particular area. Again, according to the USGS: "From 1975-1995 there were only four states that did not have any earthquakes. They were: Florida, Iowa, North Dakota, and Wisconsin." lovely wally,

Technically the first two answerers are right, but I'm assuming that you mean "Which of the 50 states have never had an earthquake with the epicenter located in that state?"

The answer is almost certainly "none". Earthquakes happen all the time... for example, 14 out of the 50 states have had an earthquake just within the past 7 DAYS! (See the link for a map and details). If we are talking about all of recorded history, every state has certainly had at least a minor tremor.

The vibrations of an earthquake propagate around the world, even if they are not felt in distant places. Therefore, every point on Earth has experienced an earthquake.
