warden the badge after he put the ticket on the windscreen and he said it was too late, he was a horrible miserable bloke, the ticket inside the envelope has not been signed, does this have to be signed by the warden? if so does this mean ticket is invalid? thanks.

Your fault. I have a blue badge and know what it is like You must display correctly at all times ,Once the ticket is made out and attached that is it, you are liable to pay.Don't think the signature bit makes any difference .I hink you will just have to pay up.

To be honest no one likes a ticket, but to be truthful you actually broke two rules.
Firstly you obviously were parked illegally, but your blue badge would have made your parking legal.
It is also an offence not to show your badge correctly ie,correct way round and the clock disc set showing time of arrival.

UNfortunately the warden could have cut you a little slack, but decided to go by the book instead.
Even though you proved you had valid blue badges, you still have committed an offence by not having them displayed.
You could complain and try to get it overturned, but if the warden has took photo's and made notes of the fact there was no blue badge you may still have to pay the fine.
I am a blue badge holder myself, and always make sure i display my badges correctly.
Try to be more careful in future, and save yourself all the hassle this has caused you.

If he hasnt signed it that doesnt make a difference, but you can appeal againt it. The warden must have made a note of the fact you showed him your disabled badge after he issued the parking fine, so that may be helpful.

Phone up parking services at your local council and give them your disabled ticket number with a better excuse than I forgot and they might if your polite cancel the ticket, next time do not commit such an heinous unforgivable horrendous crime as parking and not displaying your badge, try bribery like cash for honours you'll get away with that at a cost of £1million to the tax payer.

photocopy your badges and send them into the ticket office along with a letter of apology stressing that the warden said he could not cancel the ticket once issued. Wait 2 or 3 days for the letter to get there then telephone them, make sure that when you speak with someone you get their name before you discus your ticket, sound worried that your in big trouble and use their first name when asking them for help, this normally makes then un easy to have a worried adult nearly sobbing to them, also using their first name makes it more personal and they will find it very hard to refuse to help if your nice, but sound upset.

no, and the warden was right what he said, your badge should have been on display in the first place and once he issued the ticket its too late for you to display it, you can try appealing though

Write into the parking services departmnet whose address wil be on the ticket. explain what happened, sending a copy of your disabled badge, and a COPY of the ticket. ask them to cancel the ticket, but also state that you retain the right to pay the discounted fee should your appeal fail.

do not wait for NOTICE TO OWNER.

take copies of your badge, pay the fine (to avoid penalty) and send with an explanation of the circumstances to the council involved. Explain where you were parked and anything else in mitigation you can think of. Say you are paying up to avoid the penalty charge. The authority may return your payment but be prepared to accept that you were in the wrong.

You can ask but is is probably best to pay up. I would appeal to the authority but given that it is a money making exercise I doubt that it will sauced.

It is maybe fair to point out that a traffic warden does not have discretion unlike policemen. i think I would pay up rather than wait for an answer to your appeal. it will save you money when the appeal is disallowed .

Im not sure about the validity thing with him not having signed it, but surely you being a disabled badge holder and having showed it him your were not liable for a ticket.
If there is a contact number on the ticket try and call it and explain the situation to them they may be able to resolve it.
