In cardmaking/scrapbooking there are brass stencils. What equipment would I need to transform my own designs into one of these stencils?

Thank you both for taking the time to answer my question. I'm going to look into the scroll saw, as I want one anyway. Secondly, I think that someone in my family may have access to one :)
The brass plates are not thick at all. Matter of fact very fragile as they bend easily. Now all I have to do is find the brass plates. Thanks to both again.

Those stencils are made with a laser cutting machine. Did you do a search to see if you can find a company to make one for you. I'm sure that would be the least expensive way to go about having one made of your design.

If you are using thin brass, you can cut it on a scrollsaw. Your other option is a laser. The scrollsaw will run between $500 to $1500 for a good one. A laser is $9000 to $30000.

You may also want to ask your local woodworking store if they know anyone with an Epilog laser. THe person might do them for you for a reasonable fee.
