Well considering both terrorists, and extreme ultra-conservatives have the same beliefs(anti-abortion, evil liberals should be imprisoned or executed, homophobic, and, that America is evil and needs to be changed by faith), I would place my faith in the people who believe government and religion should never mix.
Also when taking a look back in the past at Clinton's anti-terror proposals that were trimmed by a congressional majority that wasn't his party, to the point of uselessness, I would trust anyone but those same types.

If we have a competent Sec of Defense then either party.
I trust the Democrats as far as making the decision on IF we should go to war. They don't seem to jump the gun so fast.

That is curious given that Al Queda seems to be a unit of the Democratic party. When their leader Harry Reid says we have lost in Iraq and that our efforts are a failure, this inspires terrorists to press on. Reid seems to favor Muslim terrorist with his comments that we have lost.

Most soldiers in the US military (roughly 89%) vote Republican and Democrats steroetypically are the more diplomatic and less willing to use force out of the 2 political parties.
"About two-thirds of the active-duty U.S. military approve of President George W. Bush's overall performance, while the same percentage of officers consider themselves Republicans, according to an unprecedented poll released here Tuesday."
"The ”Military Times Poll,” conducted by the publishers of the Army Times and the independent newspapers of the three other major services, also found that most of the active-duty military considers itself very much a breed apart, morally superior to both US society and its civilian leadership. "

If the voter is a democrat, they will place their trust in the hands of terrorists.
If the voter is a Republican, they will place their confidence in the Republican Party.
