I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, that will not start when wet. I have to wait until it is dry, and then it starts up just fine. Please help or I may have to take an axe to it.

I have a 1987 Pathfinder that had the same problem. Even the mechanic wasn't sure what exactly was wrong with it, but knew the common causes (he's a trusted friend, so he wasn't ripping me off). He replaced the distributor cap, and spark plug wires. My Pathfinder was up and running in no time. 216,000 miles and going.

Sounds like an ignition problem. You merely say "when it is wet"; do you drive through a stream, puddles, hose it off or what? I had an old Chevy pickup that would die mid-stream if I splashed too hard; merely driving slowly solved the problem (I drove it for 10 years or so after that).
If it is not a case of water being splashed up, you really need to starte changing plugs, wires, etc.

it sounds like the plug wires need changing on it real bad, they will draw moisture and cause this to happen, also check the distributor cap and rotor button also,if i was going to change it,id just change all of it,it may be in need of a good tune up anyway,it wont hurt it to completely tune it up and this should get rid of the problem.good luck with it.
