if you want to know the biggest, i would have to say the Detroit electronic music festival 2000, Detroit being the birth of techno music in the world hosts this party every Memorial day weekend 3 day festival that begins on saturday @ noon acts until 11:00pm in Hart plaza which is right on the waterfront next to the ren cen, the mainstage can hold close to 20,000 people they have 5 stages throughtout the event all focusing on different genres of electronic music (trance , techno, jungle drum & bass, house) what is great about this is when the main festival goes to bed is when the real party begins, about 20 different after parties that begin @ midnight and go until 7am. If you plan properly 3 straight days of a constant rave with food mixed in with power naps the first in 2000 drew an estimated 1 million people over 3 days and pumped over 50 million dollars into the local economy

It was a fraternity, which shall remain nameless, at the college I attended, which shall also remain nameless. It began in mid-September of 1979, and ended just after New Year's Eve when they were summarily thrown off campus because only a very small minority of members actually had attended classes that term.
