The 1964 is 9o% silver but the 1965-1970 are 40% silver and can still be found out there in bank rolls. It looks like in circulated grades at least at this time they really don't have any extra value. the 1970-D was issued only in mint sets so if one got spent and had some wear it would still command a premium. The 1987-P and D are the same, they were available only in mint sets. The 1/2's from 2002 through 2006 were not issued for circulation are available only in mint sets or souvenir sets as well as rolls you had to buy from the mint. Some of these get out there, they are spent by mistake usually, or they need the cash. As time goes by though and more people start to collect the Kennedy 1/2's the high circulated grades say of the 1980's may just start to go up. Hope this helps.

The only year the coin was silver was the first in 1964. Other years, if circulated, are not worth more that 50 cents. Uncirculated are worth about $1.50 to $3.50.
