Depends on price and weight.
Double kudos on the cool pic!

Considering that bikes already get much better fuel economy I'm not sure if it would be worth the cost. There would be less gain, or even a down turn. Most hybrids run off an electric drive system. So if you had to add an electric drive that would equal the performance of a sport bike, or even a big bore V-twin you would be adding quite a bit of weight. Then you'd either still need a fairly large engine to provide the power, or lots of battery capacity. Either way you're looking at more weight.
I think a multi displacement system would be more practical with a motorcycle. You'd be able to reduce fuel use when cruising without adding a lot of equipment.

For cars I would say no, but motorcycles are much different. Some of them go over 150 mph, so I don't think the hit in hp they take from going hybrid will make much difference. You can still go insane speeds, and while paying even less for gas. It would pay for itself in no time.
You may not be able to race other motorcyclists, but then again, if you do that you'll probably be dead before you finish the payments.

Actually they have already designed an all electric motorcycle. (sorry can't remember who "they" is) It can do freeway speeds, and lasts for several hours. They said the only problem was it made no noise whatsoever. So test riders had a hard time even realizing it was on. So last I heard they where thinking about installing a speaker to play engine noise.

i personally dont see much of a point in a hybrid motorcycle as they allready get damn near 50 miles to the gallon hell hybrid cars really arent that "green" think about it in five or six years when the battery dies your going to get worse mileage then you would with a regular car and if you want to replace the battery it will cost just as much in disposal fees and buying the new one as it does to just buy a brand new base line car the only real "green" hybrid's are like the new silverautos and even new dodges that are the V-8's that once they get to crusing speed turn off four of the cylinders just to keep to speed even then the mileage and output still isnt that great do yourself a favor just stick with a regular car or motorcycle if you want to save gas ride the bike or drive something with a fourcylinder although underpowered and boring to drive thats all you can do

IF = the biggest two letter word in the English language.
Honestly, probably not. Even IF.
Which is highly unlikely.
There is the age old problem of diminishing returns.

Yes, if i could afford it. The thought of cruising at 65 or so almost silent is pretty appealling, and the eco friendly aspect is just a bonus.

No I would not ----- the weight of the required battery to run the electric side of the hi-bird would be out of the question for a two-wheeler and you still gotta have a gas engine and it is all consuming space that is not there under a bike... NO HI-BIRD BIKES FOR ME ----- STRAIGHT H-D AMERICAN
