Paul Molitor played second, third, first, and DH. Rod Carew played second and first. Tony Perez played 3rd and 1st. Joe Torre was, indeed, a great multiple position player.
However, though I believe he is a highly over-rated player, Pete Rose was a good player at second, third, LF, and first base. He played over 500 games each, at 4 different positions, if I am not mistaken.
Bambino, Pete is most definitely over-rated. He was a good player for a very long time, but only in about two seasons was he even the best player on his own team.

genuinely Michael Jordan.. i've got come for the time of countless people who say Jordan performed in a watered down era and say the gamers he performed against weren't as solid as right now which brings the argument that Kobe Bryant or Lebron James may be the superb.. yet once you look on the gamers from the Jordan era you stumble on almost each and every NBA LEGEND.. Larry fowl, Magic Johnson, Moses Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Dr. J, George Gervin, James worth, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, Nate Archibald, Patrick Ewing, John Stockton, Reggie Miller, David Robinson, furnish Hill and countless greater. With all this, Jordan won 6 titles going undefeated in the finals in his occupation. to no longer point out Jordan's occupation records & awards; 10 scoring titles, 30.one million occupation ppg, 9 first team all-nba all shielding awards to call some. To sum it up, Jordan is the superb to ever play the sport. he's the epitome of the sport of basketball.

i would have to go with Babe Ruth i mean he was a great pitcher and outfielder and the greatest hitter of all time no doubt, he is the greatest player in the history of the league so definitely The Babe
and sorry to desotobrave but Pete Rose is in no way overrated he definately comes in second on this list

I will go with a less famous name and sat BJ Surhoff. Played a few years for the Brewers as a Catcher and could also play 1st base and the outfield and DH.
Had some great years in Baltimore in their outfield despite his knees from being a catcher.

If you mean defensively, then it's Darin Erstad.
He has won 3 Gold Gloves, each at a different position. In 2000 as a LF, in 2002 as a CF and in 2004 as a 1B.

Hands down it was:
Babe Ruth
Pete Rose
Let's note that Robin Yount and Yogi Berra won MVPs at two different positions.
In the current era, I would say Craig Biggio was an all-star at catcher AND 2b, then played center for years.

Definatley Babe Ruth and Pete Rose, but in more recent years, lets not forget Craig Biggio who recently recorded his 3,000th hit.

Ruth and Rose are definitely up there...probably the best.
Can't forget the Iron Man though...Cal Ripken Jr. Played 3B and SS and played them both very well. Great overall athlete

Ruth, per usual, wins this one in a landslide, but it is good to see Biggio getting some regard in the matter. Well done, readers.
