I would. I like it when it's nice and quiet at a job

I would. I've worked in a hospital before but only in the billing section. I always thought it was curious that the cafeteria building was right next to the morgue! I've actually applied for a job working in a funeral home. I'm just not squeamish about things like that. A job's a job, innit? Definitely.

I wouldn't personally work in a Morgue, but as long as you don't mind Shift-hours (including Weekends), the necessary cold temperature in a Morgue, and handling stiff Human Corpses (which my have been operated on after Death to determine the cause of Death, and then crudely stitched) then you may find it an interesting and rewarding job, but if you are prone to disturbing dreams then maybe it isn't

Why not. There are lots of jobs in a morgue even in you don't like ripping dead folks apart. You could be a janitor, a secretary, a security guard, a maintenance person or any of a couple of dozen other jobs in a morgue. Sure; why not?

I think the thought of working with the deceased could feel a bit spooky but i would be honoured to look after those people until it would be time for them to be interred / cremated . Those people have family left behind and they are grieving , and i would give that loved one the respect they deserve until its time for them to make the final stage of their journey ..
Yes a job is a job but it helps if you enjoy what you`re doing .
Good Luck x

I actually work in the basement right around the corner from the morgue. I tried to walk down the hallway where it was during a graveyard shift. I chickened out :)

I have never worked in a morgue. But one of my first summer jobs, as a teen was working for an undertaker.

Well, just go in for the interview and let them show you around..if something feels unsettling or creepy, its not the job for you. It will also give you the chance to go home and sleep on it. if its easy and something you think fits your personality, go for it, after all, someone needs to do it. It would be an interesting job to talk about on your resume. Somebody would assume you have alot of guts.

Go for it if that sort of thing won't bother you... I wouldn't myself, I'm a sensitive soul and would end up wondering about the dead person, you know - who would miss them, what their life was like, if they're in heaven... I'd drive myself crazy. Not to put you off, working in a hospital would be nice, you could see all the things that go on there and meet loads of new people.

I'm sure with other jobs like that, you just kind of get used to the concept of being around dead people. Kind of like how a doctor gets used to the sight of blood and guts.
And you're right a job is a job.

Years ago you used to get a 'dirty money' allowance in the U K if you worked in a morgue. Dunno if it is still true.I would work in a morgue if I had lost my sense of smell but the actual handling of the bodies wouldn't bother me - they were people's beloved relatives and deserve respect. if you can do it then go for it it is an admirable job to have !!!
