One important fact was omitted. The largest object weight over 1,000 lbs. And only has 200 miles to fall @ 17000mph. Heads UP

There are laws about throwing trash on highways. There aren't laws about littering space. That IS the difference.

Jurisdiction.

Space is neutral territory, no laws prohibiting littering.

Other than that, littering in space is worse, because there is no way for the system to clean itself up, and volunteers cannot just pick up a trash bag on a sunday afternoon.

The difference is that highway trash won't re-enter the atmosphere at 11,000 mph and become instantly incinerated.

Highway trash must be picked up be your local chain gang or volunteer group =)

Space doesn't get in our way, so much.

It isn't a good plan, but it probably won't pose any actual harm.
