Have a French Tip manicure, and they paint the white part a different color? I saw this cashier with nails like that the other day and part of me thought it was cool, and part of me thought it was kind of tacky. What do you think?

Meow is the pur-fect name.
I am not into the nail painting thing. I am sort of a naturally pretty girl. I manicure my own nails. I buff them to a natural shine and often get comments because they are naturally beautiful and very healthy looking. People often question weather they are really mine or not. But as I said I am a natural pretty girl. :)
However, I can appreciate what ever others want to do with their own nails. If it makes them feel pretty and happy, it makes me filled with joy.

The French Tip manicure is a natural look and that's best. To start hoking it up by putting colors on the tips may be fine for teenagers during the summertime who are goofing around - but not for a well-dressed woman. And I would never hire someone who wore that to an interview nor would it be tolerated in the office.

I was taught several ways how to do a french manicure; the basic being white tips and a nude base. But using different colours (especially during different seasons i.e sparkly tips look great in winter) is unique and can look pretty. sometimes, depending on the occasion or event, tacky colours (pink and green, blue and white etc..) can suit the person...but for everyday wear, I think the basic french manicure looks best.

I think it would look unique and cool . It also depends on the right color combination . I would not probably like if look tacky and bizarre. If the colors are coordinated properly, it might even be attractive.

I got my nails done like that before...the tips were a pretty light pink. Sometimes it really looks good if you don't get a really bright, tacky color.

I really don't think much of the superficial things. If she wants different colored tips then that is her choice. If it did not affect her work ability,then no big deal. If it looked cool I would have told her so, even though it may not be my thing..

I really like it if it is not too long, but that's my taste and everyone is different. Me personally though...French tip=sexy and to play with the colors=cool.

I think it is tacky. At first glance it always looks like most of their paint wore off and they haven't cared for it in weeks.

Fingernails should match the personna of the person. I mean, they would look great on Anna Nicole Smith (Rest in Peace), but they won't look good on me.

It would look Cute if you pick the right colors.
If you do do it go with a color that is a little clear!!!
