Iv'e had 4 drunk drivings from 18-29 years ago,is it still possible for me to begin this career? I haven't had a drink in 18 years.

Prime in Springfield mo, Not a good choice. But there may be some companies that will hire you. www.werner.com and www.swifttruckingjobs.com are 2 places to start. It will be hard to say with more than 2 DUI but it is possible. As for Insurance all the big companies are self insured for up to the first million. so insurance is not the issue as to the first post. It all has to do with company policy and DOT regs.
You may also want to check with a local driving school as they will know if they can get you a job. Most of them have a employment assistance program.

Congrads on the sobriety but the insurance issue comes to play here. Talk to some of the major companies, Prime in Springfield MO is an example. See what they can do for you. Good Luck
