There isn't any such thing as a Tescan Fur Skin but there are Tescan fur type yarns. These are yarns that are not woven in a typical way and do not have the same texture as normal yarns used to make clothing and fabrics. The distinguishing characteristics of this type yarn are the ability to keep air moving through it, yet have insulating properties, as observed under the electron scanning microscope. The fabrics made from this yarn are proving useful to researchers; for example, who work at the South Pole, where temperatures are at the extremes. It is vitally important for researchers to wear clothing that is heat retaining, yet comfortable at the same time.
