No I am not being made fun of. And if I see someone else doing it, I put a stop to it.
Avoidance does not solve the issue. Showing the person that is making fun of someone that they are doing wrong, puts another small curb on childish behaviour.
Of course, punching a tooth or two out or breaking their nose is not exactly adult type beahaviour either, but it gets the point across...

We all in many ways mock each other and somethings are funny but some are plain tragic. No one knows what the shoes of a person has been though from a few minor glances but we all take a poke at the moment and sometimes ride it.
Is it right, no but it is what it is. Until a change of heart takes place, will continue making mistake. I laugh but to really make fun of someone, I don't know. We all have our moments, that's for sure. Some worst than others.

I have been made fun of when I was younger , teased. I use to think it was wrong, but now a days I think people should get a taste of their own medicine. It depends on the person. I would never abuse any one physically or verbally, but I would try to find an "intelligent" way to show them that they are wrong.
Sometimes we can ignore these things, but other times, after a while, they begin to destroy us. When you constantly hear it over and over, when that verbal abuse turns into physical abuse, then it is something that we need to take seriously. It begins to take on your identity, it makes you weak, what humans like to call low self esteem, it can lead to what the system calls "personality disorders" or your interpretation of everything that happens to you in life becomes dark. You see the world through cold eyes.

I think we've all been made fun of at some point in our lives, and I won't lie, I've done it a few times too. But I usually feel horrible when I think about what I said, so I try to avoid it.

i used to get made fun of ALOT!!! in junior high especially, i have been hit in the head with a base ball bat, my classmates would go up to me and say "youre pretty! pretty ugly!", they called me four-eyes, freak, i have been made fun of for everything!!!! from my red hair to being too tall or being too short. But guess what? ever since i got contacts, people tell me im really pretty, im pretty enough to model, and guys hit on me all the time. My own aunt didnt even recognize me last year when she visited me because i changed so much....But people still tease me(maybe theyre jealous?) everyone calls me annorexic and im not, im just skinny. and yeah, i think making fun of people is wrong. appearances dont matter, its what's on the inside that counts!

I am certain I am and have been made fun of. I think the easiest and cruelest way is to point out a persons flaws and laugh about it. The behavior isn't nice ,but I think it is part of growing up within this culture(USA). It serves a purpose though , we learn to thicken up and possibly change

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there maybe in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly: listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant: they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons: they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
This is the code I try to live by.

I think polite bantering is acceptable, but I would never be condescending when it comes to people. I believe we are all poked fun of occasionally and as long as we can poke back I don't have a problem with that. Malicious slurs however are out for me. We are all loved by our Father regardless of appearances. Personally I always ask people by what set of rules (or which book) do you judge me?

If you are planning to reduce ur sense of humor and as a person in whole, make fun of their race and religion...that always hurts people. Just look at the R&S section or the racial stupidity going on. Just look at Cramer.
If you want to continue on as a person who doesn't hinder their integrity....just leave the jokes to the comedians
