Instituting all the 'martial law' machinery will allow the next President (Bill Clinton) to finish the Republic off.

The American Downfall was actually started by the first Bush president. This one is simply finishing the job his daddie started.

You are correct to tar Bill Clinton with the same brush. And yes, if Hillary wins, we will have Bill again. That seemed to go right over the heads of a couple of people who answered. The Clintons were groomed to do exactly what they did. Can you spell N-AF-T-A?

No. Bush and any president are not "dictators" in control of everything.

He has top advisors, including the military which is the strongest force. He may be the figure-head who has to sign his name on the dotted line for something to occur but in the end he is only the voice of decision, not the mechanism behind it. You don't think the real powers are breathing down his neck when his pen is poised over the line? How long do you think certain presidents would stay in power if they refused to listen to their cohorts? Read your history.

When R.R was in power the joke always was that his wife told him what to do. Presidents are the head of a bigger group. It is the group that actually is responsible for what American does.....and guess who was responsible for putting them in power?

Nowadays few people vote informed. More folks vote to keep who they "don't like" out of the presidency, rather than who will be the right group to lead the country....

Try the voters for your American downfall. American Idol voters are more informed! I wonder which has the higher ratings AI or the Presidential Debates! I'm guessing the former....

Bill Clinton cannot be the next President. He's already served two terms.

But yes, the precedents Bush has established -- if allowed to remain in effect -- allows any future president to ignore the law at will and refuse to comply with any statutes requiring executive disclosure of documents. In other words, he's create the framework of a coup -- and whether he does it himself, or the next person or 50 years from now -- unless Congress puts an end to it firmly, any future president can finish the coup.

President Bush has caused America to be great and he is a god compared to that idiot Bill Clinton. I say we make Mr. Bush serve as president until the day he dies. A special law just for him..God Bless Texas!
