I am officially Red Cross certified, I'm confident about babysitting, and now, all I need is....CLIENTS!! Any help? I'm kinda shy about approaching my parents friends about their kids, and I don't really know a whole lot of people with small children. What should i do?

Try talking to your local church office(s), tell them everything you just wrote, and leave them your name & phone number, or print up some small business cards, or print the flier and leave those. And finally, tell your parents to talk to their friends! (You gotta put them to work for you!)

(I've never used them and know nothing about them except that they connect people with sitters!)

-post flyers in community bulliten boards
-hand out notices in as many mailboxes as you can
-ask babysitting friends how they got clients
-go to schools, parks, beaches, ect. and post even more flyers their

I have only started babysitting last year... but this seemed to work fairly well. if you don't get calls right away, don;t worry. it took me two weeks to get a call, and now i have babysat 9 different children in 5 different families. Good luck!!!

p.s. the red cross certifications really helps. before i had it, i only got one job.

Build up your courage and call some of your parent's friends. Also, make a poster or flyer. Give some to your parents to put up at work. Put some up at the grocery store and the convenience store.
