Do you take your car through a car wash or do you wash it by hand? Why do you do one or the other?
Usually I'm pretty lazy and just take mine through the wash but this morning I did it myself. I think it gets cleaner when it's done by hand...

well, when i lived in a house and could wash it by hand for free, i did it ALL the time. i was pretty much on an every other day status... in LOVE with my car. but since i've downgraded into an apartment, i can't really wash my car by hand anymore unless i take it to one of those DIY car wash places that charge like $2/minute for water. screw that. i go to Whitewater. :) but my car was definitely cleaner whenever i washed it myself. maybe it's because we are the ones who drive our cars, so we know what is dirty... whereas the people at car washing places are trained to do the SAME routine cleaning to every single car... so yeah...

i just washed my dads miata this morning but ALWAYS do it by hand doin it in the car wash with the brushes scratches the paint and dulls it. unless it has no brushes in it dont do it! and it also does get cleaner by hand!

depends upon how much time I have and what the neighbor is doing. if you were washing yours by hand I'd certainly wash mine by hand at the same time.
