Stop in Golden and go to the Coors tour. Then you should go to the top of Mt. Evans on the Mt. Evans Highway. Vail is beautiful any time of the year. Glenwood Springs has the hot springs pool. In rifle there is world class rock climbing. Go over Grand Mesa and when you arrive in Grand Junction be sure to see the Monument and Black Canyon isn't very far away in Montrose.

There is always information on the state website - www.state.co.us but if you can't find anything there, it all depends on what you are into.

Between Grand Junction and Denver are pretty much most of the major ski resorts which are open during the season for hiking and biking. Closer towards Denver (in Morrison) you can visit Red Rocks and maybe even catch a show at the famous Red Rocks amphitheater. As you continue west, you can always stop by Central City/Black Hawk if gambling is your thing. Denver itself is a sight and there is always something going on in the city.

Being a local Coloradoan, I'm not aware of anything to see out towards Grand Junction, though it is pretty land. Like I stated, most of everything is in towards the city but it depends on what you are interested in. And if you still can't find anything, type in Colorado on a search engine and find your answers there.

Glenwood Canyon has some beautiful rest stops were you can stop and enjoy the Colorado River and see lots of big horned sheep. Glenwood Springs has great hot springs and vapor caves and a nice drive to Aspen from there.

The drive is beautiful; mountains, river. In Grand Junction, I went "jeeping" w/ some friends near the canyons. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!
