My son is almost 8 and he recently took up jewel crafting...I know it sounds girly but its really not. They sell bags of "jewels" in Wal-Mart, Target, ect. and we buy boxes and picture frames that are not painted or finished yet ( they are like, 1.00 apiece) and he glues jewels on them in pretty designs. Another thing he loves is to make magnets. You can buy a roll of magnet and you cut off how much you need and he draws "cool" things and makes things and puts them on the magnets. We give them to friends and family and they love them!
