Do Taiwanese doctors have any idea about what "informed consent" is?

Is it normal for Taiwanese doctors to not explain or falsely explain the treatment? I was lied by a taiwanese dentist. I can't believe that anyone can be so unethical!

It is mei wen ti (no problem) and mei guan xi (it's alright) culture.
You have to notice that you are not in the West.
