looking at the new samsung u600 what does everyon think? mad question but are the message tones any good or can you upload music to use as message tone? currently have the d900 and can't stand the tones!!

Firstly I'd like to correct Ganesh. The U700 is 14.9mm thick whereas the U600 is 10.9mm thick. So it's only 4mm difference not 2 inches (50mm!), but that's common sense anyway. I don't have a U600 yet as I'm still deciding whether I should wait for the Samsung G600 which is a 5 mega pixel phone due out in August, but I do know that you can set an MP3 file as a message tone as well as a ring tone, unlike previous Samsung phones which had about 10 short ones to choose from. Samsungs are brilliant, but they are let down by camera shutter speeds. I'm constantly taking photos and when my subject hears the shutter sound they move, thinking the photo's been taken when in actual fact it's not, and I end up with blurry photos. Anyway, I don't work in a phone shop but I'm quite knowledgeable about them so you can email me if you have any further questions.

The Samung U600 is a simply superb phone if u would like to wqait u can wait for the u700 that is much better but slightly thicker by 2inches , though it has a 3G and a better touchpad than the U600

get the u600 its slim ..
and it also got a touch pad like e900..

I've had mine a few days and love it!!! you can upload music and get new tones no prob. Def recommend!!

i got mine last week ( had the d900 ) and it is fab !! you can, as you asked, use your own tones for txt alerts. go on, get one, you'll love it !!
