18, i believe. it would be fun to have everyone age naturally as the show continues. why that's never done in cartoons is beyond me. would it require more imagination from the writers?

Pebbles and Bam-Bam never aged on the Flintstones.

Elroy never grew up on the Jetsons...

Scooby Doo never needed a hip replacement.

If the show isn't to your liking, you're invited to not watch it. I stopped watching about 5 years ago, as I stopped finding the humor to be fresh. I don't, however, have any problem with the conventions of the show (like not knowing the state that Springfield is in, Mr. Burns never remembering Homer's name, and the kids never seeming to grow any older.)

Thats just part of the schtick...
