yea i know that f is hard, but you gotta streach. you can also try alternate the fingers and u dont have to put ur index on all the strings but just the first 2 and the rest is already done by other fingers. in the beginning its hard but soon u'll be able to do it easily. trust me ur fingers will feel dead in the beginning but later it'll be a piece of cake!xD

There are lots of ways to play fmaj so don't give up. Theres the 6th string root (Major form on the 1st or 13th fret), fifth string root (7th and 19th), and among many more, the x-x-3-2-1-1 way. get a chord book and fin whihc way, for now, is easiest for you. Eventually you'll want to learn how to play it in various ways for different songs. Make it your goal: Say that in one month you should master it. If that one month is up and you still haven't, give it another month, another week, and so on. Trust me you'll get it eventully.

(*lol*) It took me awhile to get an "F". My instructor showed me a modified fingering until I could get the stretch for it. It takes time, and you don't want to overstretch and pull something that's going to take forever to heal.
Barre chords have been kicking my behind for about 4 months now. I've finally gotten to the point I'm about 70% successful on the first try. Still pushing for that 99%.

When I first started playing I couldn't play it either.
Your finger muscles probably aren't strong enough yet!
Just keep practicing,never give up!
Besides no one likes F,I kinda feel bad for him.

If it was easy, everyone would do it. And, considering how many songs have an F in them, it's safe to say that most people haven't given up on it. You just need to practice.

Its hard maybe because you havent streched your fingers,if you do,by doning simple excersises, even squeesing and relasing a water bottle works,so you gat your muscles to wake up in your fingers, and f should be easy to play.

C & F chords were tough for me but I didn't give up. Eventually, you'll HAVE to play em, dude. No ways around it.

Never give up ! ! you`ll be able to do it eventually, just practice, even if it seems too hard, you`ll feel better once you`ve mastered it.
