Britain has an 800 year record of protecting minority rights. Learn about the Magna Carta and the history of parlimentary government.
Iraqi politics is pretty ugly now, but they have a very new government. Considering the monumental problems they face, they might deserve a little patience.

Hi Menehune,

You have a point. But remember laws are only to prevent your vulgar or evil thoughts getting translated in to terribly evil actions. Still they themselves will not prevent one to avoid evil actions and tendencies arising in the mind. Therefore, we have courts and police to punish people. Otherwise only law is sufficient to avoid evil actions. Say for example, there are sections of Bible, Al Quran and Vedas prohibiting people to do evil. But there is no authority to punish. So evil continues inspite of religiosity.

The British standards are different because Britain is not under the control of any 3rd party army controlled regime. That is the reason Brits politics is better looking than Iraqi.
