Ok! We did not kill Saddam, the Iraqi people did. Saddam was made out to be a threat to national security, and thus it was deemed justified to invade and look for WMDs. We were never aware that if we found none, we would stay and "spread democracy." Oh, and most Americans are now opposed to the war. Didn't know if you knew that, being that you're a non-American.

Because there are threats that exist for which other countries do not want to deal with. Did the EU prevent 9/11? Did Europe prevent WWII, they watched as Germany built up its military against treaty's signed after WWI. We remained an isolationist nation until the threat materialized in Pearl Harbor. We can not rely on other countries to ensure our safety.
