That has happened to me a few times. I would cook & the food would burn because I'm so into Y!A that I forget that I'm cooking or baking, & then I smell something burning. & I figure I can use Y!A to pass the time while cooking, rather than standing over the stove the whole time. One time, I was toasting bread & the bread got set on fire. I kid you not!

Well, the moral of the story is: Never go on Yahoo! Answers while cooking. Haha!

No never!! You my friend are addicted and need help! We do have a YA!A (Yahoo!Answers Anonymous) meeting held the fifth Thursday of every month. Having been there and here for almost a year, I don't really need Y!A I just enjoy it for the 13 hours I'm on a day.
I have been put in charge a group covering losing yourself to Y!A to the point of not being aware of things around you.
As soon as they clean up the smoke damage and put in new support beams in my house I will be able to devote more time to those with this problem.

Ha ha ha! You little toast burner you. I think we have all gotten involved in something else (like YA) and forgotten what else was going on. It is so easy to lose track of time. I was in the process of getting ready for church this morning and sat down after my shower to dry off. I was playing Word Jong on Pogo.com. It was 7:30 a.m. The next time I looked up it was 8:10 and I had to rush.

That's technically a signal to you that you might have an addiction to the internet. It's not just Y!A to blame, its the instant compulsion and social interaction you feel you're gaining from the internet in general. There are lots of sites (ironic, yes I realize it) about internet addiction. They are great! This was obviously your best answer, do you not agree?
