Any foreign substance in water that reduces its quality for organisms who depend on it.

Anything from human waste, to abandoned mine runoff, to industrial dumping, the list goes on.

Any impurity that renders water unsatisfactory for a given purpose (especially drinking) could be considered pollution. It is said that if you add a cup of wine to a barrel of sewage you have sewage. Also, if you add a cup of sewage to a barrel of wine you have sewage. Of course impure water may be purified with the right equipment and procedures. Mother Nature does it all the time.

Piss + Shiet + Water = Polluted. Unfortunately there are some countries that have to drink/bathe in this kind of water :(

When water get contaminated by foreign substances like chemical waste, nuclear waste, industrial waste, human waste, oil waste and other type of unnecessary substances introduced in water it is called water pollution.

sewage, oil,garbage in water and in the air is car exhaust factory smoke and a lot of other things. that is just some of them.in the ground, oil spills gas spills and other junk.
