For a good serious piece, check out the play "The Blue Window". There's a great monologue about a woman and her husband falling out of a window and its liberal enough to let you play it how you like. Also for Shakespeare check out Comedy of Errors.

I would pick those yourself I find that I always perform monologues that I pick for myself better then those picked for me, if you don't have an anthology check out monologuearchive.com they have a decent selection to choose from.

Your audition pieces need to fit you uniquely. Tell me more about yourself-age, height, weight, hair and eye color and I will offer good suggestions.
