I believe there are different letter types:
Microsoft Word's letter template includes:
Heading (top. That would be the place to put a logo in a business letter.)
Return address (name, address, city state zip)
Date
Recipient address (name, address, city state zip)
Salutation , or Salutation:
Body (intro, body, conclusion paragraphs)
Closing
Signature
----
In elementary school, the 5 parts of a friendly letter are
heading, greeting, body, closing, signature
---
A business letter officially has:
Letterhead (or typed heading)
Date
Inside address
salutation
body
complimentary closing
signature
(beneath which is the typed signature)
---------
This website will walk you through the parts of a friendly letterand help you write one:

I have seen more parts added to business letters. Sometimes they have sender and recipient addresses,
a cc: line, and additional file notations and addendums.
They are usually flush left, with spaces between paragraphs. (This differs from friendly letters which
are usually indented with no extra lines between paragraphs.
