Can't and don't, or even won't, are different terms entirely. Sequels and remakes are done in the attempt to readily cash in on a known profit maker with little effort involved, and that is what business is all about, really. Making profits.

I don't know, but I agree with you. Now there's a "Halloween" remake out next month? If anything, that movie should've been on the "taboo list" as in don't touch!! Why remake a masterpiece? These people are geniuses because idiots will go out and pay to see a movie that they already saw and own.

becuase they have no originality. I mean for cripes sake, I seen yesterday on Y!headlines, that they are redoing Hairspray. What is that all about. I watch for the original movies and rated R movies. LIke PAN'S LABRYNTH and The FOUNTAIN. These are great films. Also, it's a bigger market to redo them with the popular actor-ess, it's all money. that's all.
