It seems like there is a RNC conspiracy to nominate fake conservatives for presidential candidates. And it is about to happen again, with Fred Thompson, Romney, Mccain, Rudy...you name it.

George Bush is NOT a conservative.

These politicians run as conservatives for one reason...they hope to gain the Christian vote. They have it figured out.. they realize the Christians have something most people don't. Faith!! What is faith? Faith is the belief that something happened not based on evidence! So, by targeting voters who have a strong "faith".. they realize they can easily manipulate them with nothing more than words. Like a Shepard tending their flock.. the Conservatives have their sheep exactly where they want them.

Bush is a neo-conservative (abbreviated neo-con).

The conservative movement is split right now between fiscal conservatives, who want a small federal govt, and neo-cons who see a large central govt as a good way to push the conservative social agenda.

The two factions agree on the goals (conservative agenda) but differ in how they want to accomplish that goal, and how much it should cost.

Watching conservatives argue about people in the other faction not being conservative is almost as amusing as watching conservatives and liberals attack each other for not supporting the constitution.

George Bush could only be considered a social conservative, religion, abortion, homosexual beliefs and he is not a 100% social conservative due to his view on illegals. in all other areas he is a liberal.

We don't vote for the label, we vote for the particular candidates positions on issues that are important to us.
None are identical.

I don't think it is an RNC conspiracy. It's more like an elitist comfort zone.
