No, they cannot be trusted. They will always have tendencies to commit crime and prison just gives them a place to meet other criminals. They get to talk to each other and learn how to commit more crimes.

As a former Police Officer, I find some things unforgivable, and situations avoidable that a person decided to make a bad choice on. But truthfully, statistics show that 9 times out of 10, those who went to prison, end back inside. So if you think about it...THEY DID GET A SECOND CHANCE, now didn't they?

depends on what for. if they are child molester, then hell no! if they sold drugs or stole, sure they should get a second chance...that behavior is changeable.
