I'm a finance/accounting student. I'm going to finish school in 10 months and I need help with a job and career advice. Is there a place on the web where I can make friends with other people in finance/accounting?

One suggestion I would make is to become a student member of the Institute of Management Accountants. This is an organization for accounting and finance professionals with careers in the corporate environment as opposed to public accounting. There are regional chapters that hold monthly meetings where you can learn new insights into the profession, as well as network with other accounting and finance professionals. Once you've graduated, you can become a full member and enroll in their certification programs to become a Certified Management Accountant, Certified in Financial Management, or both. We are everywhere ask here and you will get plenty of advice. I have been in accounting or accounting software since 1974.
