And not their successes? IS that the best we can hope for? That he is doing the same bad things presidents have done in the past? How sad for your party...

mckenzie, don't shoot the messenger. I just calls em as I sees em...and I have as mush disdain for your party (although i have a sneaking suspicion that you are NOT a democrat) as I do for Bush. If you are as angry as you claim to be over the two parties, why not go OUTSIDE the two party system?

TJ815, Kerry didn't represent my party, he represented the democratic party. Care to answer the question?

I believe it bothers many Republicans who no longer support Bush. They don't like the bar being set so low. Many Republicans are not happy with the current crop of Presidential candidates because they have very mixed records. They are looking for a candidate with great credentials and integrity, which is why 20% say there is no one they support out of the current 9 candidates.

Doesn't it bug you that you couldn't find anyone better then Kerry to represent your party to run against Bush in 2004?

The answer is every president is judged by the presidents before him... How many times did you hear Bill compared to JFK? The answer is 7 days a week.

Does it bother you that 2+2=5? Did it become true just because I asked a stupid question?

Bush lowered the tax rate but increased tax revenue. He's responsible for huge GDP growth, low unemployment, and low inflation. And he's overthrown our enemies in two countries while losing dramatically fewer American lives than in any other major war in history. Oh, what a horrible failure!

It is sad for them, and for those of us Democratic party members who see the constant attacks on our Presidents.

It's wrong. And the political bigotry is wrong as well.

We'd kind of like to see the 77% of Americans who are proud of their country speak up against such seditious and unpatriotic behavior, and concentrate on respectful protest and cheering, depending on the goals you have for the betterment of America.

Unfortunately we're stuck with stuff like this question, both during President Clinton's eight years and President Bush's terms.

It's contemptible.

I don't see how it would bother them, I dare say that they would be in a small group if it did. I challenge you to find a president through out our history who has not had his failures or successes compared with past or other presidents.

presidents are always compared historically. their effectiveness or lack of takes time to evaluate.

all presidents receive criticism while in office as it is impossible to please everyone. someone will always be opposed to a policy.

so no it doesn't bother me at all. we should learn from history but instead we seem doomed to repeat it.
