to a member of the U.S. House on the Homeland Security Committee, DeFazio?
What are they hiding?
As a member of the U.S. House on the Homeland Security Committee, DeFazio, D-Ore., is permitted to enter a secure "bubbleroom" in the Capitol and examine classified material. So he asked the White House to see the secret documents.
On Wednesday, DeFazio got his answer: DENIED
Homeland Security Committee staffers told his office that the White House initially approved his request, but it was later quashed. DeFazio doesn't know who did it or why.

"We're talking about the continuity of the government of the United States of America," DeFazio says. "I would think that would be relevant to any member of Congress, let alone a member of the Homeland Security Committee."

I personally don't trust any of them with any information that might be sensitive. They are always running out to the press to flap their gums. They don't care if they compromise US security or not.

Its probably a list of future countries to order missile strikes upon. Theres probably things like Chavez needs a missile strike if the terror attack comes from the south (possibly cuba at the same time). Any other direction lets hit Syria and Iran. A list of how to try and convince everyone in the country that Islam as an entire ideology is the enemy of freedom and they all should die.

The Homeland Security Committee does not have access to every classified document. That is why he had to REQUEST it. He has no right to it.

This is political grandstanding.

What are they hiding? National security secrets from those who have no right to them and insist on publicly vetting them in front of our enemies.

You think any of us would trust Congressman DeFazio after this public spectacle?

No.

Perhaps because trusting an opposition member of Congress has always been a precursor to reading about it in the New York Times within a few days.

I wouldn't trust Congress with my car keys.

Unreal - we elect a person to do a job yet they can't get the information they need to make a rational decision. That's far right logic for you.
