I thought I had found what I was looking for and I was happy . But that, too, turned out to be a false find. Except that in the process of elimination "This is not it" "This is not it" I seem to have progressed emormously leaving behind r trivial things. This , by it self, I consider to be a great achievement .
The common deniminator in all the find is a true happiness, lasting and infinite.

I am quite old and have never found what I am looking for. I have, however, found what I was not looking for. No doubt, you too will find the same thing when you reach a more advanced age. I won't tell you what it is because you wouldn't believe me and would just deride the idea because of your youth and probable idealism. And, it's best you discover this unlooked for thing on your own.
Once it occurs to you, and it may not for this does not occur to all, then you will say to yourself, "Of course, it is so clear. How could I have missed something so obvious for so many years."

I have found, over the course of my life, that when one is looking, one never finds. Sit back, enjoy and really see that which surrounds you and you may find that you already have whatever it is that you are searching for, even if you don't really know what you are looking for. That feeling of overall contentment and peace with where you are at, at this moment in time, will be all the answer you need.

Yes, everyone finds what they're looking for sooner or later. The trouble is that every time I find what I'm looking for, I realize it wasn't what I should have been looking for in the first place. But I think I'm getting warmer.

Yes! I found it when I wasn't even looking. By complete accident. Someone that cared enough not to judge me and insult me at every turn. Sixteen years later, I'm still with her. And I've no regrets.

in my enlightened moments, i am sure i have found what i was looking for.
for me, it is when i feel one with god and the universe. i know of no greater peace.
too much time is wasted chasing after things . the best things in life are not things at all. it's the road we take that makes the difference.

Sure. I'm happy and I think that is what most people are looking for. Without happiness what is life all about?

No. I wasn't looking for anything. Although, several people have told me that they feel something in their lives is 'missing'.
When you let go of "shoulds" your searching stops and you become more able to enjoy what exists and what you have.
