Typically, I would think that it meant "I understand". But in your sentence.....maybe it means just "so-so". Hm-m-m.

The Ads for Aweso tees make you think that you are just so-so without one of their articles of clothing. So then...do clothes make the person. I doubt it.

It is just a manipulation of the spelling of awesome. If you take the "me" off of "awesome", it becomes "aweso". It is just a cutesy little saying.
