Does anyone know what will happen to the current Yankee stadium? They're not going to knock it down are they?

sorry, it's going to be a parking lot!!! They are moving all the monuments over to the new stadium, but the old one is gone!!!

As other mentioned it will be knocked down to make room for a parking lot, and a park where there will be little league sized baseball fields. I can understand why Yankees fans would want to keep it but a building that age and that size would require a tremendous amount of upkeep and it's unclear where that money would come from.

Why are you saying ew to the new Yankee Stadium...it looks very similar to the old one....oh wait...yeah ew...just kidding...I honestly wish they would replace Fenway...I mean I am all for the history of the game but there comes a time when you need to join the present and get rid of the old and busted.

Knock it down as they will need the space for parking. The Monuments will be preserved as part of the new landscape.

i believe they are knocking the old stadium down. very very stupid decision on their part. its full of history. they are also talking about the new stadiums nickname being the house that giambi built. also a very very stupid descion. it should be the house that a-rod built.
