A proper book like harry potter, how long does it take you?

Finished the 7th Harry Potter at lunchtime today, bought it yesterday afternoon. I'd say it took me about 12 hours.

The new Harry Potter book I read in about 12 hours, including breaks for food etc. An average sized short book I can read in 3-4 hours, especially when I'm on holiday like on the beach or something.

If I wasn't interrupted I could read a Harry Potter book easily in a day. I have always been a fast reader as once I get in to a book I can't seem to put it down.
Always loved reading since being a very small child.

Ive never read harry potter but I have read books that size..so it would most likely take me one or two days to finish the whole book ...That's only if I spend part of the day reading..If all I do is read before I go to sleep then It would take more than two days..Probably four....

yeah, thats about the maximum
some I read over 1 week, but that is a little each day

Cover to cover, a Harry Potter book will take me about one week.

i read 3 Harry Potter books in 11 days on holiday in Spain because I could not understand Spanish tv in the evenings - though we were out all day.
I can read most paperbacks in half a day. Adecnt one with a good plot (e.g. something by Kathy Reichs) takes a good dayy - though i do not go to bed until I have finished it.

depends. there is no such thing as a proper book lol but if your talking about a thick book then it would depend on what my social and home life is like and whether the book has me gripped. normally if i'm busy but the book is good i'd manage it over 2days...sometimes longer and sometimes shorter. no book has taken more than a month lol.
