I just read that he was born in the Panama Canal Zone. Does this really make him an American Citizen?

That issue was discussed during his first run for the Presidency, with Bush's campaign claiming that he might not be eligible. Interesting that the same people aren't making the same claims now.
The law is unclear how "natural born" should apply to someone born on property under US control to parents who are US citizens. Most people who have looked at the laws seem to think that it fits the intent of the constitutional requirement, and that since he was a citizen of the US from birth he counts as "natural born" even though he was not born in the US proper.
But until the Supreme Court rules on it, the legal answer is "maybe".

His parents were American citizens, so he's naturally an American citizen.

If both of your parents are native born and are still citizens, then you are a native born citizen.

As if being born in this country has produced such stellar results so far.
Some of the best Presidents to ever serve were not born in the United States...maybe we should think about that qualification someday.

If his parents were citizens, then he is too and can run.Just like me being an Army brat and being born in Germany,I could run for President..And I think I am..

his parents were US citizens, so he is. His father was a highly decorated Admiral in the US Navy.
When he was born in the zone, I think it was still a US military installation, which counts in this situation.
