£5 and waited about 30mins quit quick as the que was around 1 1/2 hours long. Thats a slytherin 4 u

£10 from Tescos who I thought were robbing monkeys as if u spent £50 u could have it for £5.
I went and bought it at midnight when it was released.

£5 (same as you), but also £4 for shipping to Taiwan, where I'm living now. £9 is still cheaper than the local retail price!

Haven't got the book yet, but I've already spoiled it for myself, haha. (Besides, pretty much everyone in Taiwan knows the ending... it was on TV news yesterday; see my latest question.)

£5.00 after spending £42.00 at Tesco for groceries which I would have spent anyway.
You had to spend £50.00 including the non-sale price of the book (£10.00). With the £10.00 added, my total bill came to £52.00, so they gave me the book for £5.00 which reduced my total bill to £47.00. Complicated or what?
This would have worked if you had spent £40.01 on groceries when your total bill would have been £45.01 including the book, having been reduced from £50.01.
