Well, I am a woman, and it is my heart that usually leads me into situations. If my passion (for justice or sex -- there is really no difference) is aroused then my heart will lead me straight into battle.
And yet I am also very logical. I have a great sense of right and wrong, a natural analytical ability, and a whole lot of common sense in this head of mine. So I may have been lead into a situation by my heart, but it is my head that "handles" it. With my heart acting as a sort of "tempering device" which keeps my responses human and involved.

In my life, neither has demonstrated great knowledge....since either has an equal probability of being wrong, I settle for the fast "rush." At least, I have a good feeling for some amount of time. If it is a real problem, my head rules. If it is an idea for a new business, my heart rules...and truthfully, I have rarely been let down. I must follow my heart in matters of business, for if it is not involved, I do not generate the energy it requires to be sucessful. In matters of love, my head rules...I have seen, and been involved, in far too many fiascos to trust a heart when it comes to love. Passion fades, but common sense seems to hold up well. I am equally sure that most people do just the opposite...but then again, I never claimed to be a genius. (I really don't like lying...takes too much energy to remember what I said the last time.)

I have made a few mistakes in the past by going by what my heart said but there again it is the experience we gain from these things that determines a lot of what we are .I tend to think with my head now that I am older as so often the nice friendly sort of thinking gets taken advantage of by rather unscrupulous sorts. It is a pity as it is so much better to think the best of everyone until somebody lets you down. This makes you think twice sometimes about a situation where your heart says one thing and your head another .These days regretfully it is the head that wins .While it is so nice to love everybody you also have to survive.

Lately, none.Seems now, when I have problem, I "throw" the matter away from my mind and from my emotion. I take deep breath several times, doing the "zen", blank-ing everything; Then I do whatever I like doing first until I am ready to think how to solve the problem.
Small problems I find solved by itself thru time.
The reason I am doing that because I find that problems cant be solved under strain or force.
i.e. I receive email about business which I can't answer , I just simply let it pass until I am ready to answer. The answer will come when I am in ease.
Iam not panicking anymore.

I listen to my heart when it comes to the natural elements, like dealing with people. However, I listen to my head when it comes to survival.
What rules for me is someone that's not a suck-up. Someone that doesn't use religion or their church as a tactical foothold in life. Someone that doesn't use their sex or race at every turn to get their way in life. I admire those that bow down to no one but enjoy helping others out with no strings attached. I like those that find a reason to be happy other than being depressed all the time.
And what really rules for me are my fantastic wife and children.

I have always found that they are intertwined. At least they are for me. It makes for good, balanced judgment regardless of the situation. And, makes problems easier to solve, particularly the really difficult ones.
There are times when you make a difficult decision and it will not seem to be fair to someone else, but later, the wisdom of the decision becomes evident in the life experiences of those involved. Sometimes, they even thank you for your decision because it has forced a life change for the better.
By the time we get to this age, we know the difference between right and wrong pretty well and that makes things easier, too.

Depends on the problem - some need the head more, some need the heart more, and some need a little of both.

Pure instinct, my heart isnt objective and my brain just confuses me weighing all the pros and cons, generally my first instinct was the right one.
Inevitably if I think about something and try to do the "logical" thing it all ends up to the dumbest decision I could have made.
I read somewhere that God speaks to our heart, and the Devil plays with our brain to confuse us and make us doubt ourselves.
I think if we all listened to our hearts it would be a better world.

Head Sylvia. Well I like to think so, and am sure I always will in the future, I suppose there were times in my youth I listened to my heart instead. Probably to my detriment, but then I wouldnt be where I am now, with who I am with, and with our two great daughters we had together. So who can fault it really? XXX
