Recently lines have been flickering on my screen, and i reduced my refresh rate from 75 to 60 which helped, but the lines keep coming back. My monitor might be getting worn out, but this is a real nice monitor and i was wondering if there's a way i could fix it? Thanks

You are correct... the monitor is wearing out.

The lines will get worse... time to keep an eye out for a good sale on a monitor and buy a new one. There is nothing you can do to fix your's.

Also... monitors often have a 3 year warranty, so check that out. You can look at the manufacturer date on the back.

You could also try your monitor on a friends computer and see if it is the monitor or your video card. If it is your video card you can just buy another and install it. If it is the monitor there is not much you can do about it.

When it comes to Monitor issues its very hard to actually "fix" them, especially if it is a internal hardware issue. I would first try installing updated drivers for your video card and monitor, then go from there. Hope this helps.

Make sure that the resolution is set to the native resolution on the monitor.

Open up Notepad and fill the screen with H characters and then hit Auto Setup on the monitor.
