The grand jury has been extended for the third time. This is not Al Capone. With all the evidence that was published as fact in "Game of Shadows", why can't they get an indictment in a timely manner? With more pressing issues facing our country, why are we wasting time and resources on this? Is this really a national issue?

They can't get an indictment because there is not enough evidence to warrant one at this time. Bonds admitted to a grand jury that he applied a "cream" that he did not know was a steroid, and that occurred in 1999. Since the implementation of the MLB/Union drug testing program in 2001 Bonds has never tested positive for any of the (53) banned drugs stated within the testing program. Since the grand jury has not been provide with any additional evidence linking Bonds to anything, there is nothing to indite him on. I do agree with you that if they can't come up with something it is time to end the investigation.

I guess they may be waiting until the end of the season as he may (or will) break Aaron's record. Shame that he is still getting different treatment!!
I can't see a sentencing but at least a suspension from baseball and an astrick to denote the HR's that were obtained with the help of roids!

The problem is Bonds to this day realizes he's in a horrendous slump, but still sees nothing wrong with his former steroid abuse. This is a national issue because baseball is America's past time.

There should never have been a first extension of the grand jury. This whole debacle is wasting my tax money...and yours. The whole racial breakdown of who believes in Bonds vs. who believes he is guilty of everything shows that racism is alive and (unfortunately) well in the USA.

Enough was enough last month... or was it the month before that? Maybe it was last year!
But then, think about it, as long as you keep bringing it up, I guess it'll never be enough.
