I recently had the motor (5,000 miles ago) replaced in my truck. I have not had any problems since then...until this morning. I drove 2 miles and my steering got very difficult, the water gauge went to H, and the battery light came on. It still starts with no problem. I finally got it home after stopping several times to cool it off a bit. Any idea of what could cause this? Also I was told that I needed sway bar pins, could it be related to this? Thanks in advance!

Thank you all very much! You were correct and it is the belt that is off the truck. I had it towed to a repair shop and will have it back later today. Thanks again!

Sounds a the serpentine belt has broken or derailed.

Hopefully you have not damaged your engine or transmission.

The sway bars deal with the suspension & have nothing to do with the engine.

Sounds like your serpentine belt broke or your Water Pump seems to have gone bad! If you had a remanufactured engine put in they only replace the water pump if it is shot usually they are not replaced. But
